About Us
The Brick Garden Club is a civic organization under the auspices of the Recreation Department of the Township of Brick. The purpose of the Club is to educate members and the public about gardening and related areas as well as to enhance the community with beautification projects.
Membership is open to anyone interested in gardening and community beautification. There are no dues. However, members are encouraged to participate in club activities and community service projects.
We meet at the Bob Anstett Cultural Arts Center, 515 Herbertsville Road, the 2nd Monday of every month at 7pm, with the exception of January and February (no meeting), July (Garden Tour & Tea), August (Garden Party), and December (Holiday Party).
Club History
The Brick Garden Club was initiated in September 1999 by Robert Anstett of the Brick Township Recreation Department in conjunction with Brick resident Dianna Jankos.
A committee was originally established to create an herb garden at the Haven's Homestead on Herbertsville Rd. The Club's first meeting in September 1999 was enthusiastically attended; 62 people signed up for the Club that night. We have been growing steadily ever since; currently we have 124 members.
